Early Head Start – This home-based program serves qualifying pregnant women, or families with a child aged birth- 3 years. Weekly home visits, and bi-weekly socializations with other families and children, are designed to enhance the child's development.
Adams-Brown Head Start and Early Head Start has implemented a School Readiness plan with the mission of increasing school readiness, social competence of young children, and strengthening parents in their role as primary nurturer and educator.

- Bi-weekly playgroups & field trips
- Infant & toddler developmental, hearing, vision & nutrition screenings
- Classes & workshops for parents
- Information for pregnant women on fetal development, stages of pregnancy & labor, and delivery preparation
- Free car seats and information provided by our staff of trained child passenger safety technicians
- Free diapers for those enrolled in Early Head Start
